Alec Garrard is a farmer, but he had a dream (not to be confused with a field of dreams). Alec has worked for more than 30 years to create a full and accurate model of Herod's Temple. His version of the Temple is so impressive that some of the world’s top archaeologists and experts from the British Museum have come to view it. The pictures speak for themselves. See what you think. Cool! Where can we learn more?
Spectacular! We need a flash tour of every corner and room! Thanks for posting, Dr. W.
Just Google the builder's name.

That looks fantastic!
Dr. Witherington,
i have finished about half of Bishop Tom's latest book "Justification." i would appreciate when you get a few minutes your review of the book and your thoughts on what is at stake in the whole discussion between Wright and Piper as well as the new perspective. i realize to go against either man (especially Piper)in the blogosphere is dangerous, but i think that you are up to the challenge!!
blessings,,,
That is pretty amazing. I wish I had the patience and artistic/architectural abilities for such!
Does he charge admission and are you allowed in the Holy of Holies?
That model is large enough to show impressive detail. Seeing something like that makes it much easier to visualize various temple scenes mentioned in the Gospels.
His he planning on putting it up for more public display somewhere? Like maybe at the British museum?
Wow.... and you say he is a farmer? He must have been an impressive kitset modeller in a former life!!
