There is an extraordinary story this morning on MSN news. As a cat owner and cat lover I just couldn't resist posting this. Go to http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10663270.
Anyone with a story of a dog dialing 9-1-1 and saving the life of his master?
Well of course, I should have realized this. Silly me, I envisioned a dog simply barking or licking his master comatose face.
What is interesting to me is that a cat could actually be trained to dial a phone number. I am now worried about what my Julie and Paintball may be doing while I am out of the house. Maybe that explains the big phone bills.
Of course, since cats think of their owners as simply the 'staff', this particular cat was probably simply trying to save itself the bother of hiring a replacement....

Didn't the cat hit the speed dial button and not 9-1-1? Not that it's not impressive on its own, but it's not like he dialed 3 numbers.
ReplyDeleteOnly the cat know for sure-- :) But yes probably he hit the speed dial button.....

ReplyDelete"Cat Avoids Cat-tastrophe--- Dials 9-1-1"?
ReplyDeleteThis simply CAT be! Uh, "can't" be.
Anyway my spidey sense is tingling, suggesting that this is a hoax ... but I'll check with my two cats and get back to you.
