I am looking forward to seriously studying it. Your writing style is spot-on!

I believe in the essentiality of baptism in the name of Jesus (Acts 2:38, etc); that it is an issue is beyond me. I did notice in my skimming that you mention that the early church baptized in Jesus' name (an undeniable fact), but I don't think that you necessarily tackle the "mode" of baptism--in the name of Jesus or in the titles (Matt 28:19). What are your thoughts on the mode--immersion, and name? If I missed it in my skimming of the book, what page is teh mode addressed?

Thanks ... I realize this isn't the post for it, but ... As for all of Dr. Witherington's blog readers, I recommend that you get a copy of Troubled Waters (Baylor Press)!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12594000877867845998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11840313.post-3104851613759168362007-05-25T01:31:00.000-07:002007-05-25T01:31:00.000-07:00I have just been reading PD James' "Children of Me...I have just been reading PD James' "Children of Men". She paints a bleak picture of a world without children. No schools, no playgrounds, no toys; the last babies born gradually getting older until everyone left will be over-80. Without posterity life becomes pointless.

Terry HamblinTerry Hamblinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06346629921055055879noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11840313.post-74895330983826706692007-05-23T20:28:00.000-07:002007-05-23T20:28:00.000-07:00Exellent post brother!Jay your comment is so right...Exellent post brother!
Jay your comment is so right.
Ben,
I really enjoyed reading your blog.
