MOVING DAY
Dear Friends:
This blog is moving to a new location at the end of this month on the Beliefnet website. Here is the proper address to save under favorites and connect you to this blog---http://blog.beliefnet.com/bibleandculture/. The archives of this blog will indeed be transferred to the new blog site, all 800 or so posts worth.
For the many of you who are friends of this blog, thanks for all the reading and commenting, and keep on keeping on. You will still be able to connect directly to my blog through my website--- www.benwitherington.com. Catch you on the new site when I return from Turkey.
Blessings,
BW3

Dr. Witherington:
Please let us know if the archives of this blog will be preserved. There were a number of posts here that were especially good and I would hate to hear that at the end of the month they will all be either inaccessible or deleted.
All the best with the move!
Time to update the bookmarks.
Are you going to shut down this site completely because I have linked to some of your articles in the past? How quickly would I have to update such links?
As I said, the website will keep going and will continue to link to the blog in the new location. I assume you will need to re-create links to the new blog location. This site will disappear by the end of the month. They are now in the process of transferring the archives.

Dr. Witherington,
I realize that maintenance for a blog/website must be very time-consuming. However, my experience in finding Scot McKnight's Jesus Creed blog on the Beliefnet site has been a bit disappointing. The frequent popups are very aggravating and some of the pictures in the advertising were a bit much (maybe I am getting old and cranky).
I read your blog via RSS. Most blogs on Beliefnet only syndicate the first few lines, which means I rarely read the whole post. Scot McKnight has gotten some form of an exception, and his feed syndicates the whole post. Any chance you can do the same?
I couldn't agree more with Leland: Beliefnet is not a fun place to visit. I pretty much stopped reading McKnight--whose blog I had really enjoyed--after he moved over there. I still stop by from time to time, but the hassles of the site has turned me away as a regular reader. I sincerely hope this blog doesn't succumb to the same fate!
i hardly ever read Jesus Creed anymore since the switch, for all those reasons and more...the feed doesn't work in some places...i, too, have linked to dozens of your posts here, any way to leave it up here, with a note you have moved
It also seems like google ranks blogspot posts extrememly high and quickly..
anyway..
keep up the good work
even though we won't likely talk you out of moving (:
Bad decision, Doc: don't do it!!
I'll definitely be reading you at the new location. I really liked the blog here and the community of commentators, so the move will be a little jarring, but that's how it is in this fast-moving digital ago. Congratulations.
Hmmm, i agree, not a wise decision in my opinion. Unfortunately the pop ups are annoying and frankly, i doubt i will be visiting as regularly, sorry Ben :( I guess i will have to just read your books from now on...all the best with the move.
we'll pay you to reconsider
Dr. Witherington,
When China government banned this google's blog again in these few days before.
